Shalimar by Guerlain perfume is an oriental-floral fragrance for women launched in 1925. Inspired by the love of an Indian Emperor for his wife,(for whom the Taj Mahal was built), Shalimar is named after “The Gardens of Shalimar,” where their love grew. A deliciously fresh bergamot, lemon, iris and rose composition becomes hazy and sensual with jasmine, incense, sweet vanilla and soft powder notes in its base. A voluptuous and embracing scent.
Notes Top Note: Bergamot, Mandarin, Cedar, Lemon Middle Note: Patchouli, Jasmine, Rose, Orris Base Note: Vanilla, Benzoin, Peru Balsam, Leather

Review of Shalimar by Sunshine In Georgia
My all time favorite. I've worn it for over 40 years. There's nothing like it. I can't count the times I've had total strangers, mostly men, ask me what I was wearing.

In 1964 my husband and I were Christmas shopping for the first time. He had me try several different brands of perfume and voila on Christmas morning I received my first bottle of Shalimar; that was 47 years ago and we have both loved it on me every since. I will go to heaven (I hope) wearing Shalimar! A beautful scent that makes you feel lovely when you wear it. Thank you Guerlain! :)

Review of Shalimar by Bridgette Conboy
I too, (like many of the other reviews I have read) have been using Shalimar since I was 13. I am almost 60. Where ever I go, someone is "always" asking me what I am wearing. When I tell them Shalimar, they say "oh yes, I remember that perfume, and it smells wonderful on you". I have tried others, but nothing compairs to Shalimar. I will NEVER switch. Thank you perfume.com for sell it at such a great price. The department stores that carry it are just too expensive.

Review of Shalimar by J.N.
The minute my wife tried Shalimar it became her favorite perfume. She is only in her thirties and quite modern and fashionable, so the whole idea that Shalimar is old fashioned is nonsense. Try a sample and see for yourself

Review of Shalimar by Anne Thomas
Since the first time I smelled Shalimar when I was about 14 yrs. old I loved it. My age is unlisted, but I have been wearing it for many years almost exclusively. I have worn other perfumes occassionaly, but always end up back with my favorite. I tell everyone don't buy me any scent unless it is Shalimar or Samsara cause it will be a waste of your money - goes to Good Will. This is the best. We have horses my mare Shannon is very smell sensitive if I go to her wearing another scent she shys away. For people who don't like it, I think too much of any good thing isn't good. Noone should bath in perfume that becomes unpleasant. A little works great. Anne
