I was teaching French in 1983. In a PARIS MATCH magazine, I saw a beautiful ad in the style of the Impressionists. When I arrived in Paris in the Spring of that year, the same beautiful signs around town advertized the scent. I went to MAISON GUERLAIN to sample it, and have loved it ever since. When a good friend was in school in Belgium after that he would write and say, "I smelled you on the subway today!"
