Review of Aqua Allegoria Anisia Bella by Amy Kelley
Granted, I'm not a big fan of black licorice, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about this fragrance. but YUCK! It's a combination of the icky licorice candies I would pick out of a box of Jujy Fruits, and Off! Bug Repellant. Not one of my favorites. Hey, that just means more for the people who love it, right?!

This isn't my usual type of scent, but I have to say that it's the best interpretation of the anise note I've come across in a perfume - ever. The way that it combines with the florals leaves the entire fragrance with a feeling of lightness and coolness. That's really the amazing part about the anise in this scent, the coolness. Usually I think of anise as being rather hot, but here it is tremendously cooling and fresh.

Review of Aqua Allegoria Anisia Bella by A Perfume Lover
This is my favorite anise perfume. The anise combines with flowers in a way that is light -- light compared to pure purple heft of something like Etro's Anice. The bottle is beautiful, too. The spray head is tricky -- you need to be sure the hole is pointed in the right direction; it's easy to misfire with these bottles. It's a spring and summer perfume for me, not something I ever reach for in the winter.
