when i first smelled this, i hated it! It was very different from all my other fragrances. Its very spicy/woody/hard... To me, its unique and I love it! I wear it for my romantic outings.

A great perfume to wear when your active either working in the day time or night dancing. This is very different it has a peppery hint to it its not sweet or flowery so it will stand out against all the other perfumes, Cabaret Perfume is really one of a kind. The only thing it doesn't last as long as I would have liked. The bottle is very pretty!

I bought this perfume Cabaret by Gres some years ago after my divorce, and I can remember how wonderful, and alive I felt when I first wore this parfume, not to mention all of the compliments I recieved from men on how wonderful I smelled to them, at 52 it made me feel alive and sexy, and that was just what I needed to boost my confidence.

This fragrance is exotic. It takes your senses in an intoxicating trip to a far-off land.

I bought the lotion at Saks Fifth Avenue a few years ago just to try something new. I love it! I got many compliments on it and I loved smelling my clothes at the end of the day. It is woody and fresh and has it seems, a little spice- not the heavy oriental type spicy just a little black pepper or something. Then it smells ever so slightly of a light beautiful musk! My husband likes it on me. It is not one of these "stinker" scents that are so common in the states. So many perfumes smell alike- heavy, sweet, ultra fruity or vanilla yuck! This fragrance is for the sophisticated, classic, composed individual. It reminds me of someone I'd smell in a very nice beautiful international hotel. Very well traveled. I'd recommend layering it with the lotion and eau du parfum spray.

For Christmas I bought 3 bottles of Cabard for my Mother, sister and girlfriend and they all informed me that this was the best perfume that they used in years. I would buy this perfume for a gift anytime.

I was surprised and pleased with my purchase, surprised because it smelled better than expected and pleased because it wasn't too strong yet the scent lasted all day! To top that off the man in my life liked it very much! What more can I say? Thanks Perfume.com!

I was looking for something different in a fragrance so I gave Cabaret a try and I'm glad I did. The bottle is really pretty with a red and orange Cirque de Soleil type design, and the long-lasting scent is completely unique; fresh, clean, and healthy smelling and slightly reminiscent of the smell of Rainbath, in a good way. It also has a subtle sexiness to it, but nothing too overt. The first time I wore it both my husband and my mother noticed it and liked it, and it would be a fine choice for daytime if you work in an office where co-workers don't mind perfumes. It is not a shy fragrance; it's noticable, so if you want just the lightest scent, this might not be for you, but I will defintely buy this again when I run out.

Review of Cabaret by Di Eiler

This is a great fragrance to wear to work. There is nothing worse than having to be in close proximity with someone wearing an overpowering perfume. This scent is long lasting, but not overbearing. I get headaches from really fruity scented candles and perfumes. So this is a superb fragrance for me with its sort of woodsy scent. I love it!

From the sassy packaging to the intriguing scent, this is a winning combination. The scent isn't overpowering, but draws TONS of compliments. The corset packaging makes you feel sexy and turn heads when you wear this perfume. Recommend it to everyone!

I've never tried or worn a perfume that I really felt suited me or that made me feel so wonderful every time I put it on. This is the only perfume for me. The scent is right up there with lavender on a summer's day, fresh basil leaves, baby's skin. Totally irresistible.

I tried it yesterday.Because of the name i was expecting a heavier scent. But it turned out to be a light floral with a pleasant woody ending. It's the kind of perfume which can be used around the clock!

This is such a perfect scent. ALthough like all 20-somethings I would love to buy the newest and hottest scent out there. I can't say I've ever liked 99.9 % of them in the last 10 years. So I stuck with the equally perfect Ysatis by Givenchy. Untill Cabaret.. it's clean but not like the yukky fresh,s clean. Feminine but not to sweet, not too dry, not to heavy, but very sexy. Very hard to describe, but beautiful. love it!

Delicious scent, gorgeous design I have to admit that I was a bit surprised to see a perfume category here at Epinions. To say that it's a provocative subject to write a review about would be facetious -- how can one define what is at heart a subjective issue? After all, everyone has...

Amongst the cheaper but by no means BAD perfume by PARFUMS GRES - EDP this one is amongst the best ones that I have had in under $20 range. The fragrance is really awesome and this could be the perfect gift under the 20's range. the smell is vibrant and fruity. i have yet to hear a bad thing about this one from anyone. my cousins borrow a lot and i ended up giving this one as a perfect gift to all of them.

I don't LOVE the bottle, think it rather cheesy, but no matter. This is great stuff, about the only rose fragrance that I can stomach these days. Sexy and spicy but not to be overwhelming in the least. It's a good level of spiciness so that you don't notice ONLY the spice. Someone said they wish this was what AP smelled like, and I agree. I thought AP did smell like this til I got a decant. Now it seems like a plain old chypre without much rosiness. That's another review though. Cabaret is super, and in fact, I don't usually like musk straight up and I cannot tell that it's in here. Also, there is something subtle about Cabaret, like I spray it and can only detect it faintly even after one spray. Must be a scent made for me then I guess. It is hard to overdo this, as it's beautiful and lays low. I would rank this for sure among my top 10. It's like an easier to wear version of Voleur de Roses by L'artisan--I say this for the folks who like spice but don't go for the patchouli spice.

Review of Cabaret by A Perfume Lover

I can only wear Cabaret once in a while. It's a rich, sweet, over-the-top fragrance. Most prominent to me is a mix of rose and wood. This is a wet and rich perfume, nothing thin, dry or cerebral about it. It always makes me imagine I've just pulled open an bureau drawer and silk spills out. I guess that means it reminds me of rose-scented drawer liners in cedar-wood chest. I would love my Cabaret-scented drawer liners, come to think of it!
