From an early age, American country singer Faith Hill was destined to sing. A regular performer at area churches by the time she was in her teens, Hill formed a band in 1984 when she was 17 to play at local rodeos. In pursuit of her dreams, she left college two years later and moved to Nashville. Working as a secretary at a music publishing firm she was encouraged by a co-worker to become a demo singer for the company. Supplementing her income by singing at a local music club, Hill impressed a Warner Bros. Records executive one night who offered her a recording contract.

Faith Hill has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and has eight number one singles and three number one albums on the US Country charts. She has been honored by the Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, the American Music Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. Hill has been ranked by Billboard as the number one Adult Contemporary artist and the 39th best artist overall of the decade.
