Review of Poison by Momokittypants

I have been wearing Poison perfume for Women by Christian Dior for more than 15 of my 28 years. I love it. I always receive compliments on it. It is one of my two signature scents. I will alternate back and forth as my mood fits. The perfume lasts all day and is very distinct, so people recognize the scent right away. I love this scent and hope they never discontinue it.

I have used Poison since it first came out and everybody loves it on me. I tried other perfumes(gifts) but I never found one that I liked better. It would be devasting to me if they ever discontinued this particular Poison.

I have used Poison Perfume for over 8 years. I have been remarried for almost 3 years and my husband likes Tabu. I don't get any comments on that perfume when I were it. But, when I sneak to my past and put on Poison men and women alike comment on the wonderful smell and men even ask me what it is for there wife. It also brings out the fun and pretty side of me.

I have tried many scents and this one tops my list. My first boyfriend bought me this scent when I was sixteen and I have tried to change scents but I always come back to this one... I am going to try Miss Dior Cherie after I smelled a sample... Dior rocks and no one else can compete with his scents..

This is one of the most exclusively smelling perfumes. It is dark, slightly decadent and very alluring. It smells like a dark mysterious forest in a fairy tale. Or a princess living in that forest.

This was not my first purchase of Poison, the first time I tried it was on a return flight from Mexico and I have looked for it, but found it too expensive at Macy's. Was so very happy to find it on perfume.com. It is a real value for the price. May of my staff and resident comment on how wonderful the scent is, not to strong, and definitely not repulsive.

After a flight as an Air Force pilot, my crew chief was helping me get my parachute out of the cockpit and said, "You're wearing Poison perfume because I recognize it from my girlfriend's collection and I love the scent." That recognition left an everlasting impression on me. I went to a perfumery on Coronado island in California and learned that Poison is a playful perfume with a scent that can be broken down into three components: bubble gum, cotton candy and Nehi grape juice. I did not like any of the Oriental perfumes with spicy topnotes like Opium or Paloma Picasso. Those seemed to be recommended for older women (seniors.)

I FIRST PURCHASED THIS WONDERFUL FRAGRANCE,FOR MY WIFE AS A GIFT,AND SHE WAS SO PLEASED WITH MY SELECTION,SHE ACTUALLY WANTS NOTHING BUT POISON. THE SCENT I RECIEVE FROM HER,WHEN WE ARE OUT,AT DINNER OR WITH FRIENDS,MAKES ME KNOW THAT EVERYONE IN THE ROOM IS ENCHANTED BY HER.. I KNOW I AM,EVEN AFTER THIRTY YEARS.

Review of Poison by Sniffy Guy

I am a younger guy, and my twenty something girlfriend loves this. I got her some, not knowing how it smells. I was very dissapointed when she applied it. It smells like an old ladies perfume! I can smell the quality but it's just too old. Plus it fades after about an hour.

Review of Poison by April Manning

My all time favorite is Poison. I go mad when I run out and I have to go to the store right away and get another bottle. When I was in Australia in January I came across a perfume store and bought so many bottles so now I'm stocked up for hopefully a few years. I love the smell, I could just smell it all day long. When I wear this at work I get alot of men that come up to me and comment on how good I smell.

This is one Poison I want to Consume Sexy, Sexy, Sexy and unbelievably Feminine Cons: The only problem is there is no Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise to apply daily Poison-the name conjures up thoughts of danger, murder, intrigue. I have no idea why the name..perhaps it is a man killer. I love the scent. How doth one describe a scent in an article? The mental challenge awaits. Close your eyes my sweet pet. Now ...

This is, what seems to me, to be your typical 80's scent. I just smell this and I think big hair and arena rock. That said, I love this scent on women!! It's not my favorite scent, but boy I do love it. Maybe it's because it reminds me of one of my girlfriends when I was 22. Or maybe it's just this exotic, sexy, intoxicating scent. I don't know, but it sure works on me. A woman cna't go wriong buying this, but beware that you may get looks when you wear it (both good and bad) like "what's that 80's scent I smell?". Younger guys (say 20's and early 30's) will have no experiences with this scent so girls that wear this may catch them off-guard because the guys won't recognize it. But it's a great scent. Buy it, but beware!!

Always since I was a kid andm til now my mom used and still use to wear Poison perfume. I always wondered why it has such an unusual name. I got it only when I got married. It has caustic smell. I liked it nevertheless so if you want to recommend it to your girlfriend go for it. My wife used it all the time and I didn't hear any complaints from our friends.

Another strong 80's perfume-gotta love them! Poison has always been for me a romantic, sexy perfume-but be sure to use a light touch, as this one can overpower very quickly. Terrific staying power, and I always loved how the fragrance wafted into my closet and scented all my clothes as well! This is a classic, and far and beyond all the “sisters”-Hypnotic Poison, Tendre Poison, etc. Try before you buy if you aren’t into the stronger oriental perfumes, though.

Review of Poison by Suzanne Lorimer

The name of this perfume is not just a clever name! In my opinion it really does smell like poisen! YUKKO! Patoowy! We had a woman walk into our office with this poison perfume that smells like bug spray and had to open up the windows after since it smelled like our business smelled like it was just fumigated. If you want to draw the attention of bugs to you, this is a great perfume to buy for that! Wear under extreme caution!

Most women hate Poison, but, oddly, most men love it. Count me in with the guys - this is great stuff! Ripe berries blend with smooth, bitter white florals - the contrast makes the head spin - over a base of sweet vanilla and powdery (almost gravelly) opoponax. The name is perfect: There's something sinister in this scent. It wraps itself around anyone nearby and lulls them into submission. Fantastic stuff, and now that it's not on everyone and her sister, it's much easier to enjoy.

Review of Poison by Lisa Antovski

Recommend use for Poison is ROMANTIC and there is a reason why - it is one of the sexiest scents to date. Poison works with your body chemistry to bring out all the fragrance notes of amber, honey, berries and spice. With a gorgeous bottle to display and sexual scent you shouldnt be without it. I prefer this parfum over the other Poisons Christian Dior has created by far. If you have never tried it, do it for yourself - you are worth it!

Review of Poison by Elaine Burnham

I have to say this is my absolute favorite perfume that I have ever worn. The scent was never overpowering but I definitely received many compliments, usually from men, when I wore it. My hubby asked me to stop wearing it because I was getting too much attention!

Review of Poison by Karen Brock

Poison was my first adult perfume. It is the scent and old boyfriend still identifies me with, too! I lived in France when this was first released in the US and my girlfriends had me shipping it to the US because they couldn't get it here at the time. My Mom's signature perfume was White Shoulders. Mine is Poison.

Nooo, don't do it!!! I got Poison as a gift in a grab bag at work...you can bet that this bottle of Poison was re-gifted! The only thing nice I can say about it is the bottle looks pretty on my vanity.

Review of Poison by Susan Koontz

I wore this perfume as a teenager and now I cannot stand the smell of it. It gives me a major headache. I really do not know why my mother allowed me to wear it, as it is a scent that would appeal to a more mature age range. But either way, it is a very heavy and powerful scent and much too sweet.

Review of Poison by Allie Christensen

The name says it all...Poison. I think the smell of this perfume is HORRIBLE! I do not recommend this pefume at all. The smell gives me a headache. It's extremely overpowering and it follows you wherever you go. I agree with the other reviewer, it is a downright offensive smell.

Angel Perfume for Women by Thierry Mugler is more of a "mature" type of perfume that women above 35 would really enjoy i think the most. At first spray it can be quite a powerful burst but as it fades i found it to be quite lovely..it has a musky type scent with light grape notes and a hint of cedar. I find the best place to apply this is the small of my back..Its important not to over apply this perfume as too much is quite rich and overwhelming and it isnt quick to fade at all. It is very long lasting so definatly apply with care. I used to own a bottle of this and i did get a lot of compliments on it. I love the packaging it looks like a bottle of poison and also the name of the perfume is alluring and pretty much describes this deep seductive scent. I highly reccomend this perfume.

Review of Poison by Autumn Hernandez

I cannot stand the smell of this perfume. In my opinion, it is way too strong, and way too harsh. It has bitter undertones and is actually very offensive to my nose. My aunt wears it all the time, and while I love her, I have to stay away. It reminds me of, what my friends and I would call, "old lady perfume". Some people really like it though. I think it might just be my aunt's generation because it came out during a time when they made a lot of memories or something, so everytime they smell it, it brings them back.

Review of Poison by A. Woolsey

The first blast of Poison is harsh and unashamedly bitter, like the bitterness of brut champagne. And like champagne, Poison probably would be an acquired taste for many. The scent of dark, ripe berries penetrates the bitterness, and so Poison takes on a bit of a wine-like character. The heart is a sharp floral, heavily relying on tuberose. The florals in Poison hold the bitterness of white flowers, but the berry notes continually weave through the florals. Together, the berries and flowers almost seem to synthesize a new, complete note, like a gigantic wine-colored tropical flower that spills its heavy scent into the night air of some far-off jungle. Poison is a non-oriental scent with a decidedly oriental base. It smells of vanilla and sandalwood tempered but what comes before. The sweetness is tonic, carrying a tinge of incense-like spiciness and powderiness from opoponax. Poison can be a difficult scent to love, and too much Poison would certainly be toxic. But I’ve found that, while many women loathe the stuff, almost every guy adores the stuff.

Review of Poison by Sharon Oncale

Poison is my "signature scent". Everywhere I go people remark how good I smell. Ha! Funny thing is that I cannot smell it on myself. I was told by someone who worked in the perfume business that was the key to picking the right perfume. The scent should be so much a part of you that it is only noticed by others. I love it. I have tried others but nothing is like my Poison.
