Escale à Pondichéry is the latest release from parfums Christian Dior following Escale à Portofino from 2008. The new cologne is a tribute to the erstwhile ex-French Colony in India and is the second installment in the series "les escales de Dior" (Dior's ports-of-call), initiated and composed by perfumer François Demachy. He chose India, inspired by the fragrances from Pondicherry and Kerala, to unravel the exotic fragrances of India and the raw materials we have come to associate with the peninsula: Jasmine, sandalwood and tea. A refreshing shot of a simple, bittersweet aroma of light spice (cardamom) and lightly ambery notes to take you on a travelogue when you're painfully far away from exotic destinations. But with this wafting from your skin, who cares?
Notes Top Note: Citrus Notes, Tea Leaves Middle Note: Cardamom, Jasmine Base Note: Sandalwood
