The sturdy, sparsely architectural and truly gorgeous bottle contradicts the gentle nature that hides within its heavy glass confines. Dior Homme is the most elegant masculine cologne to come out of the Christian Dior studio in a while and it has us wrapped round its little finger!
The powdery, creamy, yet also clean ambience of precious rhizomes of iris are laced around deliciously spicy notes of cardamom and traditionally masculine notes of lavender for a composition which oscillates between the coziness of an eiderdown duvet and the posh tan leather insides of a Buick. Beautiful, serene and enveloping.
Notes Top Note: Sage, Lavender, Bergamot Middle Note: Iris Concrete, Cocoa, Amber Base Note: Haitian Vetiver, Indonesian Patchouli, Leather

Review of Dior Homme by Ben Dee
Dior Homme is the best modern men's designer fragrance available - and probably one of the most unique. Those who demand a masculine fragrance to be heavy with spices and herbs will be disappointed, those who just want a great fragrance will be surprised. The fragrance is iris-based, giving the composition a musky, powderiness to it. Dior Homme starts with a combo of iris, cocoa, and vanilla but quickly progresses to notes of leather underpinned by vetiver. The vetiver rounds out the fragrance and is not particularly distinct. Overall the effect borders on gourmand, but it's not quite a full-blown gourmand. Dior Homme stays fairly close to the skin (the cologne even more so, with more iris noticeable), but it lasts a very long time. The bottle design is solid and looks great. You can't go wrong with Dior Homme.

Smells ok if you're a pretween GIRL! I bought this for my bf and kept thinking "this is just WRONG." His first impressios (which are usually suspect) were right on this time! First note was baby powder, second was just pure girl. I have been all over Europe, there are men and there are MEN. I'm not saying the ones who like this are gay but they are not of of rugged "Marlboro" persuasion. I myself am a scent "whore." I love whatever suits my fancy at the moment. I should note that it seems I favor Dior, from his "Dolce Vita" to his "Poison" and my stand by is "Dune." I hated "Farenheit" and hoped he would never do that again, and alas he did not, however this belongs in the le femme categorie. Actually it smells quite good on me, but for the homme, er, no.

The first thing that attracted me was the appearance of the bottle. The bottle is has a unique design, with a steel column housing that could be seen from outside. The best way to describe the overall effect of Dior Homme is "sweet". The fragrance has a combination of sweet blast of iris, cocoa and amber, perfectly blended and just the right strength, but then begins to fade into a slightly powdery amber accord with a mere hint of patchouli and lavender. Overall, the effect is a bit too sweet for my tastes. We have used it once and feel that this is not the kind of perfume we have been looking for.But the bottle and packaging are well done and it’s nice to see Dior step up to the plate with a men’s gourmand to compliment Addict. It is somewhat expensive that the other perfumes with similar fragrance but i would say it is not worth buying for such a high price when there are so much more available at a better bargain.

Review of Dior Homme by Chris W.
I love this fragrance! This is probably my favorite fragrance I own, and that is saying a lot! This scent might be too feminine for some, and I think it takes the right man to pull it off. The scent opens with a very strange topnote that I did not like the first time I sprayed it. However, after the second and third time, I like it more and more. I believe this note is the lavender in the fragrance. The heart notes are what I like the most. There is iris concrete in this fragrance. This ingredient is generally used in women's perfumery, and not that often in mens. The iris is what really sets this fragrance apart from its peers. It gives the fragrance a sweet edge that is masculine, yet soft and sensitive at the same time. This is an extremely classy fragrance that is very well blended. The transition is smooth and flawless. I will give Dior Homme the highest rating possible, and then one.
