Review of Heaven Sent by Lavonna Streight
This new reformulated scent is just awful. It is nothing like the old amber colored perfume. I simply cannot stand to smell it let alone wear it. The old stuff was perfect. It was soft and fragrant in a very subtle delightful way. Why do idiots think they can reformulate a good thing they just ruin it ALWAYS. Who ever was behind this reformulation has lost a lot of customers. This was my favorite all time. I have switched to higher priced Estee Lauder Beautiful as It is also wearable for me. I Hate the new reformulated Heaven Scent. It should be named Scent from Hades.

I have used this perfume since 1968, when it was a Helena Rubenstein product. It still smells as good, and I will continue to buy it as long as I can find it. I find that most perfumes change odors once they're sprayed on me. There are few scents that consistently retain their original scent when sprayed on the human body. This one does, and that scent is light and floral. I love it!

I used to buy Heaven Scent at Walgreen’s in the 90's. I never thought they would do away with it and change it to the flat bottle with that awful scent. I would have bought every bottle in town if I had known. I did like a lot of people and just thought they changed the bottle only to be stuck with that terrible scent. The bottle's pretty though...ha Believe me; I have searched stores across the country while on vacation hoping to find some old stock. Then I bought some high priced ones at eBay....and I am grateful for the ones that I did get cause I have a fortune in Helena Rubenstein Heaven Sent. haha I have the music boxes that came with the cologne, the golden jeweled compacts and the boxes and different sized and shaped bottles. Some days I just go by the room and smell it just for the heck of it. Then I fell into perfume.com and found this Heaven Sent. I just got a couple packages recently....and there is that distinctive smell but not quite but close enough for me. WHY don't they put this out ALL the time???? They can't help but see the price the old one gets at Ebay!! Now I KNOW my Heaven Sent smell. I close my eyes and I am IMMEDIATELY sent back to 1968, standing in front of the Woolworth's in the winter time, with my newly bought bottle of Heaven Sent. There I am standing on the sidewalk with all my friends spraying the cologne on me and taking my first whiff and thinking how that is the perfume for the rest of my life above all others. And yes, it still is and will always be. Wendy Rose

Wow, I guess I'm not the only one that has been wearing Heaven Sent for the last 40 years! When the formula changed, I called Dana and complained! They said that they released the original scent at Xmas only, but I have found it at Meijer's in Michigan. They have both scents, but now I know where to find the good one. I'll have my family order it for my birthday, Christmas, anniversary.......

The history of Heaven Sent (scent) is tricky. Helena Rubenstein did market Heaven Scent. I dont know a lot about it, but have seen ads for it dating to 1942. However, Heaven Sent by MEM was developed in the 1936. So, it's possible that people do remember both. Both have been discontinued, but you can still buy them on many different sites - just do an internet search and check auction sites. However, expect to pay anywhere $30-40 an ounce. This new heaven sent by Dana just doesn't seem to have the right chemistry. It doesn't smell too bad from the bottle, but it smells horrible on me. It also seems to fade quickly. I'd rather pay more for the original, which I prefer from MEM, than by the Dana reformulation.

Another sensitive person to smells that found a light perfume that I can wear during all events: work, school, events. I have been wearing this for a few years since I found it, has a hint much like baby powder. The scent last throughout each event and still going strong on the ride home. A clean unobtrusive scent is exactly what this perfume will do for those around you!!

Heaven Sent was my first "real perfume", given to me by my father for Christmas when I was 10 years old. It has a warm floral scent that seems to change to a soft baby powder scent. I loved it then and still wear it today.

This is the original, comforting, grown up scent I first fell in love with as a teen in the 70's. It has a formal, powdery, yet sweet scent that connot be duplicated. Don't expect a light , refreshing experience with this as this is something totally different. Use sparingly, and you will have a romantic essence about you all day!

This is a scent my mother worse a lot when I was fairly young. It has a soft powdery smell to it- I highly suggest you give this a tty if you liked Love's Baby Soft. They're both great!
