Review of Ambush by Cid Vargo

If you have missed the original Ambush scent, you should try Canoe. Both are by Dana. For whatever reason, they smell exactly the same to me! Another similar scent is the Talcman powder most hairstylists use after cutting men's hair. Very clean, light and sexy!

I just wanted to say after reading some of the reviews, I noticed a few women were not satisfied with the Ambush they recieved...they might have ordered the wrong one...I recieved the bottle with the pink lid (from the 50-60), it was the exact scent that I remember wearing in Jr. High...My little sister found some at a yard sale years later and sent it to me and I was thrilled. I was at that time a grandma, and used it very sparingly...my grandaughter was then about 2 or 3 years old, she is now 20 and when she visited me a few days ago, she said grama I love that scent of perfume...I remember you spraying that on when I was little, and thought you smelled so good. It took not only me back several several years but my grandaughter as well.

I ordered this perfume, as I had looked up the scent on another site to compare to scents I like. When I received my bottle today from perfume.com, the scent didn't even come close to how it was described! It smells like this bottle has been sitting around for years, just brewing! It's impossible to even wear it, as it stinks so bad! I wouldn't suggest purchasing this scent at all. Not to mention, the bottle doesn't even look close to what they show. The bottle I received is one of the "older" style bottles.

Review of Ambush by Kathy Fera

I purchased three bottles of this thinking it was the original scent from the 1950's brand that was in the pink bottles. I was very disappointed when I realized this was not the case. They still continue to make the original "TABU" but not the original "AMBUSH". Why not stick with the winners? I won't stop until I find my AMBUSH in the pink bottle!
