Emeraude by Francois Coty is a milestone in perfume history, the first commercial western Oriental (a fragrance marrying sweet balsamic, floral and ancient resinous elements from the East but with a modern, European sensibility) and possibly the prototype for a thousand fragrances which followed on its delightful wake. Notably, the emblematic nocturnal Shalimar by Guerlain, which rumour has it was “inspired” by the core accord of Emeraude in what has gone down in history as one of the most competitive races between perfume brands. Now that Shalimar is a such a well-known commodity, surprise everyone by indulging in the archetype: Emeraude!

Review of Emeraude by Marie W.
Emeraude is an absolute classic. It has a warm, clean, "green" powdery fragance too sexy to be sweet. It was given to me as a Christmas gift back in 1978, and I've been wearing it off and on ever since!

Review of Emeraude by Christine C.
It's not my own signature fragrance, but I love Emeraude, and can't imagine this world without it--my eyes even misted as I read the description of it just now, and the reviews--of all the fragrances I've come to cherish down through the many years, this one ranks first--right after my one and only #1, which is Yardley English Lavender, of course!--two scents were never so different, yet each one brings out something different within me--I just adore Emeraude, and always will.

Review of Emeraude by Sharon West
I suffer from allergies to substances in many perfumes, including those that are supposed to be hypo-allergenic. And, like most women, there are some fragrances that simply do not work for me. Emeraude absolutely does work for me. I cannot imagine wearing anything else.

Review of Emeraude by Mary Ann
I have been using Emeraude for over 40 years. My mother told me " if you get compliments from men on a perfume you are using, keep using it!". I have gotten more compliments from men than anyone else. This is my signature perfume!
