One of the best Chanel perfumes for men. Definately an evening wear. One of the very few vanilla containing fragrances that don't make me smell like candy! The sweetness of the vanilla seems to bring out the warmth of the woods and spices.

Its somewhat spicy, bold, warm, and comforting. Class in a glass. Makes you feel special when you sport this one. Its different but I like it. I feel like a million bucks when I wear it. I'll buy more before I run out.

I agree with the posted reviews, especially the "less is more" comment. The description of the scent and its progression as "... spice, wood, and vanilla notes. The top notes, intensive and fresh, include rosewood and coriander. The fragrance then becomes warmer and mysterious due to Bulgarian rose, carnation, and warm cinnamon in its heart. The scent reaches its full expression in the lingering base composed of sandalwood, intensive vanilla, and ambrette seeds ..." is entirely accurate. I like this formula so much I would like to find additional, similar colognes. Matthew C

This fragrance rides on the line of masculine & sweet. Very sophisticated scent that demands attention and is a classic in my collection. Beware, you will be complimented. Due to it's distinct and strong smell, you do not need to use a lot and will surely become repulsive if you "take a bath" in it. Do not ruin this fragrance for the rest of us and please use in moderation.

I must agree with all the comments in the other reviews...I was mesmerized with this scent the first time I smelled it! It is different than anything else I have ever smelled. It can be a bit strange at first but once you have it on for a little while...look out! True, it is very hard to find since the introduction of Egoiste Platinum but it is far superior to most all scents and worth the price and trouble!
