  It stays sweet and fruity right through to the end, but it is not a heavy fragrance by any means. The overall effect is very young and trendy, which I gather is what was intended. It retains some of the green, but settles into something much softer, with well-blended floral notes and a classic chypre base with lots of oakmoss and smooth woods. The whole is muted by a dusting of light powder, which tones down the earthy notes and lends an elegant, understated touch to the composition. It is sometimes described as fresh, but to my nose, you could only call it so in comparison to other aldehydic florals of that era — it is considerably less assertive than many from the 1940s and 50s."

  One of the richest most luxurious scents ever formulated. Some skin types cannot wear Coco so try a sample first. Coco perfume is the scent formulated by Gabrielle Chanel for herself. She even named it after herself, for although she was known to the world as "Coco"; her real name was Gabrielle. Although I think this fragrance was not released until the late 1980's, when Karl Lagerfeld took over Chanel; the formula was in existence for a long time previous to its release, but it was Chanel's private stock. The scent is a heady blend of orientals with some deep florals: French angelica, Bulgarian rose, Spice Island clove bud, Indian jasmine, Caribbean cascarida, frangipani, and mimosa. You must try this scent. It is costly but it is so rich and there is such an embroidering of scent layers that it is almost like a sacred incense. Above all else, please do not confuse Coco with Coco Mademoiselle.

  So the price is a bit high, but I do believe its worth it, if you have the extra money. It definitely lasts all night long. My friend always wears this when we go out. And at the end of the night it still smells like she just put it on. It has a very distinct smell, but not too strong. Very nice! I would recommend this for going out, or special occasions. It is not great for everyday (and of course for the price, who would want to).

  I love this perfume have worn this brand for 30 yrs.. my no#1 favorite.. it lasts all night long .. sensual, sweet.. loving.. worth paying the extra money for.. stays fresh all night long..
