Review of Chanel No. 5 by Áirenn Ashleigh
It is perfection - that's why it's a classic and is still the world's best loved perfume after 90 years. Naturally it has to agree with your personal chemistry - which is just as well otherwise everyone who can afford it would be wearing it!

.....mmmmmmm!!!! So many memories! I adore this perfume! I was about 18 years old when I first wore this, I am now 51 years old. I love it. The sheer thought of Chanel No,5 makes me think of so many naughty things with the two men I have loved in my life. (My first love who became my first husband and my second husband who I have been married to for 19 years...This really does make me think of so many good times. I love it.

The first time I was introduced to No. 5 Perfume for Women by Chanel was from my mother. She bought me a bottle for a very special occasion--my first prom. I fell in love with it. I would never buy it for myself. Finally, after waiting 37 years, I asked for it for Christmas. I have had many compliments on its light and refreshing floral scent. I love it.

No. 5 Perfume for Women by Chanel is euphoric. There is none other like this. I'd always wanted to try it and on my 15th birthday my grandmother bought me a bottle. I was in heaven. This scent is not for just anyone. Like any prefume it adapts to the chemical makeup of one's body. On me it smells refreshing and subtly mysterious. It's a classic work of art on which ever woman it chooses. This perfume picks you. You never pick it. That may be why so many people have difficultly wearing it. Well worth the price. Maybe the price is too low. This perfume will always make you stand out in the crowd in a way nobody can figure out why. Reminds me of pearls, red lips, and stilettos. Sensual, sophisticated, soft, elegant, classic. Essentially Chanel is timeless, but what else is new? A powder soft scent with a sexy floral aroma. There is nothing like Chanel. There is nothing like number 5.

Is there another aroma? True ladies know few fragrances...The little black dress, every hair in place, a seductive smile, make up that took hours, yet looks so very natural, hair salon perfect. An entrance that turns every head. No, this one ranks up there in the top five, a must on every ladies dresser, without question.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Kami La
I've always wanted to wear Chanel No.5 but felt that it was too mature for me. I would smell it all the time in department stores, hoping that I'd come to appreciate it because I envied women who could pull it off. Unfortunately, it just didn't suit me. Last year, my sister bought a bottle for me mistaking it for Coco Mademoiselle, and I didn't know what to do with it. I sprayed it on myself and asked for my boyfriend's opinion, but he said it was "just okay." That didn't help. Slowly, I began using it more often, trying it on to see if it would grow on me, but it didn't quite happen like that. Then one Friday night, while my boyfriend and I were running out to pick up some wine and a movie, without thinking anything of it, I sprayed myself with Chanel no.5. It was like an epiphany... suddenly I found myself LOVING it! It made me feel sensual and modest, and I couldn't stop trying to catch a whiff of myself... just like that, it became an essential part of my collection. Chanel no.5 is what I can only describe as a true perfume. It truly does everything that a perfume is supposed to do. Classic, classy, sensual, and seductive.

channel number 5 and 19 are still my favorite perfumes, the fragrance is soothing, sexy, and not overwhelming, it is an oh awe experience, and everyone likes it and is not taken back by the fragrance, butinvited into the experience of it it is by far my favorite of all of the perfumes, especially the spray perfumes, which I like much better than the colognes, or theother kinds

Ahhhhh, Chanel #5 evokes a lot of sweet memories..I preferred the cologne as to it's lightness and wore it every day for 34 yrs..right up until my husband passed away...chanel was the gift of choice for many birthdays and especially at Christmas time....when ever I hd to take any clothes to the dry cleaners, was always complimented that I had the best smelling clothes...it took awhile before I could wear that cologne again...but enjoy it now more than ever.....Yes...I did remarry.... Sincerely, marj hagen

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Marion Perry
I have always loved Chanel No. 5. When I was a teenager my older brother bought it for me for Christmas and I thought I was very grown up to be wearing Chanel No. 5. I am 60 years old and no matter what perfume I buy and wear, nothing compares to Chanel No. 5. Over the years my husband has bought me many Chanel No. 5 products and it was always a hightlight when I got some for Christmas.

Chanel No.5 is not for the faint of heart, and the blast of aldehydes when you first spray it on may take some getting used to for people more accustomed to today's light fruity florals and bakery-scented gourmands. Give it some time. If you're lucky, it will dry down to a lovely powdery floral on your skin, men will compliment you as you walk by, and you'll understand why it's a classic.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Megan Siek
I bought this perfume awhile ago. I am not impress with the scent of this perfume. It is heavy and overly sweet, in my opinion. It did stay longer in my clothes for hours than any other brand. It is definitely a classic perfume that my mother likes it alot.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Dorothy Keown
Chanel No. 5 has been around for what seems forever it is a classic flowery perfume, made up of the smell of jasmine and rose blended with sandalwood, vanilla cedar and musk.I find it so light and refreshing but not too overwhelming to your nose. I like to wear it at night, especially when I go to bed at night just like Marilyn Monroe. Makes me feel sexy

A fragrance I have been familiar with for a long Time. A truly sensual perfume. The entire collection of perfumes colgnes and powders all are very long lasting. One of my favorites I think it's well worth the money

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Erika Garcia
Chanel 5 is a classic and very memorable fragrance. Possibly the most famous perfume! It's scents of flowers and jasmine makes for a perfect and desirable scent! One of my favorites in my collection, I always put this on for important events and when I feel elegant and sophisticated.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Charle Reeves
This scent is not for little girls, its to heavy for teenagers, but just right for those coming into their twenties and older. Marilyn Monroe wore this scent back in the day i have been told by someone i knew from old hollywood! The perfume has not changed so its certainly a reminder of that time and what was considered ellegance. Which I can understand why some folks think its a older woman smell cause our grandmas were once young ladies back in that day... however, it does not mean the perfume is no longer classy or out of fashion. Its a statement that will last. As long as diamonds and blue jeans are in style so will Chanel No 5! A little goes a long way though. You will not be sorry you buy this. Wonderful

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Rita Sharma
Chanel #5 is a glorious, long lasting scent, and I would encourage every woman to at least try a sample of it in her local department store. I happened across it at Neiman Marcus, and I was hooked! Chanel #5 is a strong, warm scent with subtle Oriental notes. Geat thing about Chanel #5 is it's staying power.. With Chanel #5, you can expect to stay fragrant after a long day of work or school. On a personal note, I seem to become bored of perfumes after wearing them for a few weeks. This has not been the case with Chanel #5, as I like it even more now than when I first bought it. This is such a beautiful fragrance, and has all the makings of a Chanel Classic I encourage you to drop by your local department store and spritz yourself liberally. You won't be able to resist buying some!

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Delly Fish
Honestly, I recieved Chanel #5 as a gift and am totally not impressed with it. It has a real "bite" to the scent and I think it is totally overpriced if you buy it retail. Maybe I like simple and modest things, but this is not for me. If you must try it, buy it from here because they really do have the best price. Perhaps it is not the smell everyone likes, but the status of wearing "Chanel #5"?

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Erica Cook
Classic and beautiful, high pitched, soft, dry and enchanting. Very heady; the original and difinitive aldehydic fragrance. The jasmine and ylang-ylang are the only flowers I can single out, but the composition seems to suggest that they crafted an entirely new species of flower; it smells almost natural and obviously floral, but completely unlike any flower I've ever smelled. Like a hybrid of jasmine and French-maid.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Payton 34
Gosh I am just not that big of a fan of Chanel perfumes. I find them overprices and overhyped. I think this one smells average at best. When I first apply it smells to stong and for a mature woman. I thought that it would fade nicely but I swear when it fades it smells like a common powder or even a common soap. Well, at least you can say it is a clean fragrance. I know this scent is very popular but I am not in the norm I guess.

This is a beautiful perfume that I use often. The one thing nice about it, besides how good it smells, is that you only need such a small amount and it lasts all day.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Yuetiva Deming
I just bought this exact product at a local store for full retail and now I'm bummed that I didn't see it here first-this is a good price for such a large bottle of Chanel No 5. One thing that does disappoint me is the spray design. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to spray just a little bit of the scent. Luckily Chanel No 5 has such a light scent that it hasn't been too overpowering, but I do wish that they had used a different bottle design.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Yuetiva Deming
I read through some of the reviews before posting my own and I must admit that I was surprised by how many people said it is too strong. One of the main reasons why I love Chanel No 5 EDT is because it isn't too strong for me and most perfumes are. I'm not sure if some of them are confusing the EDT with the perfume (the Chanel perfume is definitely strong), but I guess to each their own. I must admit that I agree with those who complain about the price-it definitely is not cheap-so I guess I somewhat envy those who haven't fallen in love with it as I have.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Diane Whitney
I realize this is one of the best selling fragrances of all time and that many women and men adore it. But I hate it! To me it is very chemically smelling, artificial (almost like mouthwash). I feel terrible giving it such a bad review knowing how much some people love it. I got a sample and put it on before I was leaving the house and thankfully had only put a small amount on my wrist so I was able to wash it off.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by E. Mason
This is one of those polarizing scents: you either love it or hate it. I really dislike this, as it doesn't work with my chemistry. It smells like fake flowers on me. On others, it's divine. Go figure.

"Sexy, provocative & classic! When I went for christmas shopping and tried couple of perfumes and asked my husband which one he likes out of those I tried the best and he picked Chanel No.5. I asked the why did he liked Chanel No.5? And he said, it smells sexy"

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Diane Rodriguez
What can be said about No. 5 except it is a classic by being around for what seems like forever. There has to be many a women who has at one time or another who has tried or thier mother has tried No. 5 sometime in their life. Why, I have no clue. Granted the name and recognition is forever associted with channel but the essence has never been changed to lighten it. For myself , I always found it to be excessively strong almost to the point of smelling like pure alcohol. Not to offend other ladies who adore No. 5 but I cannot say I am a fan nor do I think I ever will be.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Meghan Anderson
When I think of the word perfume, I think of chanel no. 5 immediately. I can still remember as a little child putting some on my wrists from my grandmother's vial. It really is in all essences of the word, a "classic" scent. It is fairly strong as well: a little goes a long way. But it makes you feel luxurious when you wear it. It may be expensive, but to me, it is worth the price.

This is a classic, it's been around and I know some women who will wear nothing else - my mother! Everyone birthday we replenish her supply. She loves it and we love it on her. It is who she is, we wouldn't recognize her without her Chanel.

Classic, classic, classic! One of the first high-end perfumes I ever owned and it's still one of my favorites.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by G. Lim
Chanel No.5 is considered to be a classic, and really I don't see how it has been so popular over the past 80+ years that it has been around. It is very strong compared to most women's scents, and it is very musky. It reminds me of the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Very traditional and old-fashioned. It is classy, I must admit that. Also it lasts for a long time. If you spray a little bit on you in the department store, it'll stay on you until you take a shower. Chanel No. 5 is musky. Personally I prefer fruity smells. (Plus, I can't fathom what flower would produce this distinctive smell.)

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Mary Ballerin
This is not one of my faves but my mom loves it - it's her favorite perfume. It just doesn't do it for me - not a scent I like.

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Nab She
The ultimate classic fragrance. Better for women over 30 or so. Great to put on after you shower if you want the fragrance to last all day. Best for nights out. Not so good for daytime because it can be strong. Great website to buy from!

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Nhi Ho
This is my favorite scent and I wear it only on special occasions because it costs so much! My husband got it for me from the La Cantera mall which has some very expensive fragrances! The scent is very delicate and flowery but the thing I love about it is how soft the smell is! I love this perfume but it costs so much I rarely get to use it!

Review of Chanel No. 5 by Katie Solomon
Chanel No 5 is THE scent for a glamourous, classy woman! Wearing this will make you feel beautiful, special and adored. I would recomend this for the more mature woman who is in control of her world. Not all women can wear such a sophisticated scent with grace and charm. This perfume is classic and the scent is unmistakeable. You will get noticed by wearing this. It is somewhat strong but not overpowering or obnoxious. This is a great gift for that special woman in your life.
