Born into a Spanish family of hardcore flamenco performers, Rita was strapped into dancing shoes as soon as her legs were steady; she was performing up to 20 shows per week by her teens, when 20th Century Fox snatched her up to try acting. Rita went on to be listed as one of the greatest stars, and biggest sex symbols, of all time. Alluding to her "bombshell" status, her likeness was placed on the first nuclear bomb to be tested after World War II, and shot into the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately her career followed suit shortly after her marriage.
