Josephine Baker
Josephine Baker Perfume and Cologne
Sensual, raw Josephine Baker was an entertainer whose risqué dancing and singing stage shows made her a legend and muse for a number of artists and designers. The street kid turned chorus line vaudeville dancer turned one-woman show was the first African American woman to integrate a major music hall audience. No one wanted to be turned away from these performances, where Baker's costumes and choreography left little to the imagination. Among her fans were the famed; Ernest Hemingway called her "the most sensational woman anyone ever saw."
