He may have played a Jarhead but Jake Gyllenhaal's mind is on more than just his rifle (although he did say after filming Brokeback that he "wouldn't be afraid" of storing his rifle in another man's toolshed). Born to director and screenwriter parents and with older sister Maggie setting the family stage as a silver screen star, Jake easily snatched up roles in The Day After Tomorrow, Donnie Darko, and Brokeback Mountain, winning producers over with his ability to play characters that are at once "bland and profoundly disturbed". Jake is set to star next in 2010's Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
