Joan was signed by 20th Century Fox in 1954 as their answer to MGM's Elizabeth Taylor. Never one to be compared or constrained, she went on to become a successful movie and television actress in her own right-- successful enough to become the highest paid TV actress during her long-running role on 80s soap Dynasty. She also appeared in a 12-page Playboy spread at the age of 49, and at 60, released her first and only workout tape, Joan Collins Personal Workout. Joan is also an established writer.
