What a delightful scent. My mom has been wearing it for over 40 years. Every time she wears it, it brings back happy memories. The scent is unique and fresh; it does NOT make you feel sick to your stomach when the wearer first enters the room. Although Bellodgia is no longer available on a store shelf, ordering it on-line is well worth the short wait,

i have worn bellodgia since 1977, was introduced to it by a patient, she brought me a bottle when she went on a cruise....she always smelled delicious, and now i also smell delicious ever since....it is my trademark....LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Bellodgia is one of my all-time favorite scents for women, especially in EDP strength. Spicy and green floral blend with a lovely carnation that dominates, this is a deep, rich and beautiful gem for the sophisticated lady going out to the theater or a fancy dinner.

Many reviewers on other sites call Bellodgia, Victorian and sexily demure; I totally agree. Personally, I love the Victorian era. Luscious carnations, roses and it seems a touch of bergamot or lemon? Bellodgia is very long lasting on the skin. The bottle is very demure and feminine as well. It looks great on my vanity.

Bellodgia was launched by Caron in 1927. Its name refers to the town of Bellagio, on the shores of Lake Como, and its scent is intended to evoke fields of carnations under the Italian sun. Caron categorizes this fragrance as a “powdery soliflore,” with a composition of roses, jasmine, violet, and lily of the valley surrounding a dominant carnation note. The carnation is definitely the most striking element of the composition, although its peppery freshness softened by the rose and the other florals. My grandmother owned Bellodgia for much of her life, and my fond memories of her wearing this fragrance finally led me to try it for myself. Bellodgia always makes me feel ladylike, but it is still a spirited fragrance, and not overly demure. I think it has “aged” well, and I hope that I will be wearing it as long as my grandmother did. (Note: the eau de parfum formulation has markedly spicier carnation notes than the eau de toilette does.)

I WAS INTRODUCED TO CARON BELLODGIA BY A CO-WORKER OVER 45 YEARS AGO. I FOUND THE SCENT TO BE ROMANTIC. MY HUSBAND THINKS SO TOO. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN A SWEET SMOOTH FLORAL SCENT, THEN THEY CAN'T GO WRONG WITH CARON BELLODGIA. I STILL GET COMPLIMENTS WHEN I WEAR IT.

Bellodgia Perfume for Women by Caron was my Aunt Rosemarie's signature scent her entire life. When I would visit her as a child she would put a little on me and it has become my signature scent as well. It smells like the best part of a flower shop, but is a gentle long lasting scent. My daughter uses Bellodgia on herself and her daughter... that's four generations that love this scent!
