intense smelling before it is lit, and fairly intense when first lit. But, as it warms up, it has an amazing likeness to apple pie baking in the oven. I love this product. Love it so much I use it instead of air freshener when having company. Also makes a great house warming gift, or hostess gift; a fragrance everyone seems to enjoy.
