Perfume is sensitive. Treat your fragrances with the same TLC you give your other well-loved liquids. (Hello, wine cellar!) Store your scents in a cool, dark place for maximum shelf-life, and make sure your caps are on tight–most perfumes are alcohol-based, and will evaporate easily.

TRICK:
Dry winter skin doesn’t hold onto fragrance as well as its summer counterpart. Help your signature scent have as much staying-power as possible by doing some pre-perfume prep: exfoliate weekly (yep, your body needs it, too!), and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Best-case scenario? Pick a body lotion with the same scent as your fragrance of choice, natch.
