Jessica Linnay
From providing informative and entertaining articles on the industry and its forerunners to composing product descriptions that make scents leap from the page, Jessica's last name doesn't resemble "le nez" for nothing!

Jessica Linnay comes to Perfume.com from a rich writing and media background in a journey that's taken her from Canada's Capital out to its scenic West Coast.

A college internship at a leading music e-magazine in Ottawa allowed Jessica a leap into the music industry, leading to a five-year career where she interviewed some of the leading DJs and music artists of the day, including Mark Farina, A-Trak (Kanye's DJ) and Chaka Khan, and a number of local and Canadian artists and promoters. Years of event work and music journalism eventually led her toward PR and promotional work, and she launched into event planning and artist promotion under her own Jemrock Media venture.

Following a thrilling cross-country drive out to Vancouver, BC, Jessica began freelancing and branched out into lifestyle writing as well, and today enjoys the diversity of writing in a variety of voices on everything from travel and food to fashion and beauty products, having found a new love in magazine writing through her work for Perfume.com.

Jessica hopes to take her other two loves: dogs and vegetarianism, into the next chapters of her life, by opening both a restaurant/vintage store and a ranch that rescues abandoned dogs. She is also writing a fiction novel and children's book series, and continues to freelance in Vancouver.
